ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) ERP systems are the back offices to today's businesses, providing sales, purchasing, finance, stores, manufacturing and shipping functionality. Modern ERP systems also include e-business functionality, either through a propriety portal or connectivity to trading exchanges through standard formats. SAP German based SAP is one of the main players in ERP systems. Their best known product for many years was SAP R/3, a complete business solution. Today this has evolved into mySAP Business Suite, which include mySAP ERP. Their SAP Netweaver technology allows application integration using XML, HTTP, Microsoft .NET and Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE).
